Supreme Delegate Candidates
Becoming a Delegate to the Supreme Convention
Serving as a delegate to the Supreme Convention is a distinguished honor and a meaningful way to represent Wisconsin at the international gathering of the Knights of Columbus.
Delegate Selection Process
Wisconsin is permitted ten (10) delegates to the Supreme Convention.
- The State Deputy and the Immediate Past State Deputy automatically serve as the first two delegates.
- The remaining eight delegates are elected by a vote of the delegates in attendance at the Wisconsin State Convention.
Purpose of the Election
The purpose of this election is to recognize and reward a Knight who has demonstrated outstanding service to the Order. Nominees should exemplify extraordinary commitment to the principles of Charity, Unity, Fraternity, and Patriotism.
Delegates to the State Convention should be made aware of a nominee’s accomplishments through a nomination speech delivered on his behalf prior to voting.
Reimbursement
Supreme Council provides reimbursement to elected delegates as follows:
- Per diem: $400 per day for three (3) days
- Mileage: $0.30 per mile (one way)
- Consideration for Past Attendees
Consideration for Past Attendees
Knights who have attended the Supreme Convention within the last ten (10) years are respectfully asked to allow others the opportunity to be nominated first, so additional Brother Knights may experience this important event.
