Ultrasound Program
Overview
The Ultrasound Program is one of the most impactful Knights of Columbus initiatives supporting a culture of life. Through this program, councils help fund the purchase of ultrasound machines for pregnancy resource centers, giving expectant mothers the opportunity to see the life of their unborn child.
Medical evidence—and the experience of pregnancy centers—shows that when mothers view an ultrasound, they are significantly more likely to choose life. This program allows Knights to make a direct, life-saving impact by supporting centers that provide care, counseling, and alternatives to abortion.
In Wisconsin, the State Council promotes and supports active ultrasound projects, encouraging councils to contribute financially and spiritually to these life-affirming efforts.

How the Program Works
- Councils raise funds to support qualified pregnancy resource centers
- The Supreme Council provides matching funds once fundraising thresholds are met
- Funds are used to purchase ultrasound machines and related equipment
- Councils may partner with other councils, parishes, and community members

Partner Support: 4US Fundraising Assistance
Councils are encouraged to partner with 4US (Ultrasound for Life) to strengthen their fundraising efforts for ultrasound initiatives.
- 4US can provide financial assistance covering up to 25% of the cost of an ultrasound machine
- This support helps councils reduce fundraising goals and complete projects more efficiently
- 4US also offers guidance and structure to help councils successfully adopt and support a pregnancy resource center
By combining local fundraising, Supreme matching funds, and 4US support, councils can significantly increase their impact and bring life-saving technology to more communities.

Choose Life Wisconsin Grant Fund
Any pro-life pregnancy center or maternity home can apply for a grant from Choose Life Wisconsin, the Choose Life Plate People! Apply here any time. You can also purchase Pro-Life license plates. The more plates we have on the road, the more the pro-life message will be shared, and the more money there will be for the Pregnancy Resource Centers. The extra $25 you pay for the plate is tax deductible if you itemize on Schedule A. More information here.
